Shred Spot was founded in 2009 with the goal of providing document destruction in Winnetka with a higher level of customer service and convenience than the industry norm. All of the paper we shred is made into 1,400 pound bales. We then send a truckload of bales (40,000 pounds) to the paper mills to be turned into recycled paper. Don’t worry about removing staples, paper clips or binder clips. Your shredded paper gets mixed with other paper and automatically baled into 1,400 pound bales. It is then sent to a paper mill to be recycled into paper towels and toilet paper.
