Tenvir AF 25 mg Tablet

Tenvir AF 25 mg Tablet is an antiviral medicine used to treat chronic hepatitis B (HBV) in adults and adolescents (aged 12 years and older, weighing at least 35 kg). Chronic hepatitis B is a long-term infection caused by the hepatitis B virus. Tenvir AF 25 Tablet works by stopping the virus from multiplying in human cells, which helps to clear the infection.

Common side effects include headache, stomach pain, heartburn, tiredness, cough, upset stomach, back pain, joint pain and diarrhoea. These effects are usually mild, but tell your doctor if they persist or get worse. Rarely, some people may experience skin reactions or liver damage, so your doctor will monitor you closely during the early stages of treatment.

Before starting Tenvir AF 25 mg Tablet, tell your doctor about your medical history, including any existing medical conditions such as HIV, liver or kidney disease, and any other health problems. Also tell your doctor about all the medicines you are taking, including prescription medicines such as oxcarbazepine, phenobarbital, phenytoin, rifabutin, rifampin, rifapentine, non-prescription medicines, herbal supplements and vitamins. Avoid smoking and alcohol as they may interfere with this medicine.
