India Assumed Chair Of Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC)
India has taken over the Chair of the Asian Disaster Preparedness Centre (ADPC) for the fiscal year 2024-25 from China. This changeover was finalized on July 25, 2024, in Bangkok, Thailand. The appointment reflects India's expanding global and regional leadership in Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
