Amendment for HIV Infected Applicants by INZ

Immigration New Zealand and the Ministry of Health will no longer consider the cost of HIV treatment to be significant. HIV infection has been removed successfully from the list of high-cost health conditions for evaluation of resident visa applications by INZ. This specific proposal has been created to update the list that PHARMAC backed. 

Still, INZ will carry on to assess the medical conditions of applicants, especially ones with positive HIV. These applicants will not be automatically denied visa approval as usual.
