ADB Has Approved $240.5 Mn Loan For Rooftop Solar Systems In India
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has granted a USD 240.5 million loan to finance rooftop solar systems in India, supporting the government's aim to increase electricity access through renewable energy. The ADB said on July 17 that this financing will assist tranches 2 and 3 of the Multitranche Financing Facility (MFF) Solar Rooftop Investment Program, which was first approved by the ADB in 2016. In 2023, the program was redesigned to concentrate on the deployment of residential solar rooftop systems.
