Wesley Snipes shared that he does not hold Mahershala Ali responsible for the delays in the release of 'Blade.' Marvel's rebooted film faced numerous issues during production, but Wesley insisted that his successor as the vampire hunter was not to blame for the creative differences of the project.
The 61-year-old actor revealed in an interview with 'Entertainment Weekly': "I told him that he has my blessing and my support. I even pointed out that some of the challenges they are now facing with the project should not be attributed to him. This is not the actor's fault.
It takes a lot more to pull off this 'Blade' thing. You need a lot of secret recipes to pull off 'Blade,' man. Good luck. But you're my man for it." Snipes returned to the big screen as Blade for a cameo in 'Deadpool and Wolverine' and admits he never expected to play the character again: "I didn't think it would be possible.
I didn't think we would manage it. I didn't think Marvel would be interested, Disney either – especially since they had cast Mahershala for the next version." Wesley also revealed that he had discussions about returning for more 'Blade' movies after appearing in the previous trilogy, but nothing came of it.
