Groundwater NOC From CGWA

Groundwater NOC from Central Ground Water Authority CGWA NOC is a No Objection Certificate from the Central Ground Water Authority, which is required to abstract groundwater from an existing or proposed borewell at a project site for drinking, domestic, and factory operations by residential, commercial, and industrial units. According to the Revised Guidelines by CGWA, Ministry of Jal Shakti, India, dated September 24, 2020, any new or existing borewell without a valid NOC is illegal. Illegal groundwater abstraction may attract penalties and Environmental Compensation as per Section 15 of the Environment Protection Act, 1986.
