Extended Producers Reponsibility

EPR Authorization EPR NOC is an authorisation/ permission that is granted by the Pollution Control Board to the Producers, Importers, and Brand Owners of Plastic waste as per the Plastic Waste (Management and Handling) Rules, 2016. PIBO (Producer, Importers, and Brand Owners) organisations are required to get them registered with the Central Pollution Control Board and State Pollution Control Board. PIBO organisations that bring plastic waste into the market by their products are responsible to collect, segregate, and transport the plastic waste on their own, or engage with Plastic Waste Recyclers and Waste Management Agencies, or Urban local bodies. PIBO organisations have to get the authorisation from the State Pollution Board and Central Pollution Control Board and submit the EPR plan (Extended Producers Responsibility)
