Chris Hemsworth: His Children Convinced Him to Join 'Transformers One'

Chris Hemsworth revealed that his children persuaded him to take on his role in 'Transformers One'.

The 40-year-old actor voices Orion Pax, aka Optimus Prime, in the new animated origin story. The 'Thor' star consulted his and Elsa Pataky's three children, India (12) and their 10-year-old twins Sasha and Tristan, whom he referred to as his “advisors,” when making the decision to join the project.

The star shared that his kids “played a big part” in his decision to accept the role. Chris recalled to 'People' magazine: “I went to my kids and asked, 'What do you think?' And they said, 'You have to do it.'" The trio also joined their father in the recording booth, and he enjoyed being encouraged by them while he worked. He said: “They were in the background when I recorded many of those lines.

They were shouting suggestions or trying to distract me. It was cool." Meanwhile, a crossover project between the 'Transformers' and 'G.I. Joe' universes is in the early stages of development. And although “nothing official” has been decided yet, Hemsworth confirmed that he is interested in being part of the planned animated adventure. The actor explained to 'Entertainment Tonight': “Look, I love the whole world and what this universe has to offer and the potential for creative exploration and the different characters that can be explored. There have been discussions, and a few ideas have been presented, and we are discussing, you know, about it.”
