New Zealand is a highly popular destination for migrants who are planning to grow personally and professionally. The skilled migrant category resident visa will allow professionals to live and work in the country. In October 2023, few changes have been implemented in the overall point system.
From now on, applicants need to have a minimum of six points to become eligible for the visa. One point will be rewarded based on the total work experience gained. It will reach a maximum of three. Having a job offer from an accredited employer in NZ is now mandatory. The occupation must fall under ANZSCO levels 1-3 with minimum median wage. Also, the working hours must be a minimum of thirty per week.
