Bread recipes for snacks time (include peanut butter, ketchup, chutney etc)

Every so often when you are cooking, you have the urge for a quick or convenient snack to accompany your meal. While it’s great to have a well-stocked fridge that can take on some of the grunt work, that’s often not possible for everyone. So, you’re stuck with pre-packaged food in a bag or, what we consider, the far worse option, packaged food that doesn’t fit with your dietary restrictions.

We’ve all been there. Whether you’re going grocery shopping or going out for a snack, you have to choose between a baked potato, something packaged, or a sandwich. Let’s face it: when you have a sandwich, you might not be able to find anything that fits in your diet, which means you’re stuck with potato or packaged snacks.

So, what are the best snack options with organic whole wheat bread online out there? Is it still always a packaged snack, like a corn chip, or are there alternatives, like a bag of trail mix? Or, maybe the best alternative is something fresh and homemade.

Easter Brunch on a Roll

Ingredients:

Leftover bread, or other crusty bread you may like

Some marmalade, spread, or jam

Preheat the oven to 200ºC.

Cut the bread in half lengthways, and then spread the top half with a layer of marmalade, spread, or jam.

Place in the oven for about 8 minutes, or until the bread is warm and softened.

Cut the roll in half before serving.

Note: if you’re planning to use toast for the bread, you may want to turn the toast back on to prevent the bread from burning.

Cheese & Chutney on a Rolo

Ingredients:

Some leftover bread

Extra chutney (We prefer to add some garlic chutney or cranberry chutney)

Some cheese (We prefer to use Havarti because it has a crispy texture and I love it in my sandwiches, but you can use your favorite cheese)

Cut the bread into large slices.

The top half of the bread with cheese, chutney, and then the other half.

Place in the oven for about 8 minutes, or until the bread is warm and softened.

Remove from the oven. Cut into large slices.

Note: if you’re planning to use toast for the bread, you may want to turn the toast back on to prevent the bread from burning.
