After the patient is hospitalised, a triage of nurses & doctors evaluates him or her and assigns a zone to him or her based on the severity of his or her ailment. Patients with life-threatening or time-critical situations such as heart attack, stroke, or serious accidents are seen right away by a doctor and treated in the Emergency Department, which is a distinct specialised zone.
