In a dream of pink, US singer and actress Ariana Grande (31) attended the Olympic opening ceremony in Paris last Friday (July 26). The prominent guest chose the look in homage to a film role.

The sleeveless, high-necked pink dress by designer Thom Browne in the style of the 1950s featured a flared A-line skirt and a bow placed in the center front. To complement the ankle-length dress, which also recalled the look of Hollywood icon Audrey Hepburn (1929-1993), Grande wore white gloves and white-pink lace pumps. She had her hair pulled back into a bun, accentuated with a pink bow at the lower part of the hairstyle. She also chose sparkling stud earrings and kept her makeup subtle with pink lipstick and a touch of mascara.

In front of the Eiffel Tower, she posed with co-star Cynthia Erivo (37), who wore a dark green gown with a matching hat. The two actresses chose the color of their elegant looks to match their characters in an upcoming musical film adaptation. They play and sing the lead roles in the prequel to the fantasy classic "The Wizard of Oz" (1939), portraying the characters Galinda (Grande) and Elphaba (Erivo), who become the Good Witch of the North and the Wicked Witch of the West.

The film is set to be released in German theaters on December 12, 2024. However, only the first part of the musical adaptation will start then. Part two will follow in December 2025.
