As of October 2022, China and Vietnam had the top two spots in the US market, respectively, according to the data.Among the other significant suppliers, US garment imports from China increased by 20.76% from $16 billion to $19.32 billion between January and October of 2022. China holds a 22.53% market share.
According to Export Data, Vietnam exported garment products worth $16.04 billion between January and October of 2022, up 32.01% from the $12.15 billion it exported during the same time last year and securing a market share of 17.94%.
Bangladesh came in second, with India coming in at number four with $5 billion in clothing exports during the January to October 2022 period, up 45.04% from $3.45 billion during the same period in 2021. India holds a 5.65% market share.
In the first ten months of 2022, RMG imports from Indonesia surged by 47.57% to $4.94 billion, while imports from Cambodia increased by 36.90% to $3.92 billion, placing them fifth and sixth with a market share of 5.64% and 4.35%, respectively, according to Otexa data.
